Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS)

DEA’s Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS) facilitates the electronic ordering of controlled substances in Schedules I through V. It allows for a secure electronic transmission of controlled substance orders without supporting documents previously required.

The system is designed to provide services to DEA-registered pharmaceutical drug manufacturers and distributors, pharmacies, hospitals, and others to transmit customers’ orders electronically.
